I voted for Bernie Sanders twice, supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 general election, and voted for Joe Biden in 2020. For me, it has always been about preventing hatred from winning the day. There is so much animosity directed at minorities and the most vulnerable among us. What we’re witnessing now resembles the actions of a dictator—militarized force against civilians, disappearing students, and a systematic dismantling of the social progress generations have fought for. I truly appreciate your voice during this critical time. Unity matters more than ever, as Trump and his administration attempt to unravel the progress we’ve made. We are all in this together.

Thank you for your honest reflection Olivia. I think your reflective question of do I want to be right or do I want to connect, is so critical in our lives now. I appreciate all your efforts.

Trump has lost 80% of his court cases so far. Many of the judges who have ruled against him were appointed by Reagan, Bush 1, Bush 2, and Trump himself. I hope we remember that and give these men and women lots of credit when a Democrat is elected in 2028.

We should always remember that if the Supreme Court had fast-tracked the immunity decision and ruled for the Constitution, against putting one man above the law; or, if the Senate had voted to convict on the Jan 6 impeachment, we could have avoided this whole debacle.

Excellent points. I too spiraled after the election. So much so I ended up in the hospital with a major pain flair from a chronic illness. I had to take a breather, but I’m back in the fight. Glad to see you are too.
